Maria T Tam, MD

Although Dr. Tam is amazing at doing procedures and surgery without any mistakes or issues, I always feels rushed in her office. She doesn’t take the time to listen and answer my questions. Like if in between our conversation I pause for a second to think of a follow up question I would literally see her trying to walk away. She is walking away as she is talking like she is always in a rush. She hands me some educational material about my condition which is great, but doesn’t stay to answer any questions which is very concerning. I have to go home, do research and talk to my friends on my own to figure out more details. This is not a one time experience. This has been my experience 9 out of the 10 times I have been in her office. The staff and nurses however are REALLY amazing though. They are the only reason why I keep going here, but I think it time to change.

She gave the impression of being rushed, and it made me hesitant to ask questions. Her exam and questions to me were not very thorough compared to other wellness checks I have had in the past. I had to stop her as she was walking out of the room to bring up health questions I had as she was physically walking out of the room while still talking to me. In addition, my insurance initially refused to cover the visit and tests that were run because her charting was incomplete and the tests were deemed medically unnecessary. This required several phone calls back and forth between insurance, the office, and the lab but it did eventually get fixed, although quite the headache dealing with all of that.

Dr. Maria Tam is an excellent gynecologist. It was a difficult decision to leave my former gynecologist because I absolutely adored her but I am so pleased with the switch. Dr. Tam is quick but very thorough and has a great bedside manner, which is important to me. I have referred several of my friends to her and they are happy as well.

I’ve been seeing Adrian Meyers and Dr. Tam for a few years and really appreciate their approach to women’s health. I always have an easy time getting in. I’ve messaged Dr. Tam a few times in the portal and she is always super responsive.

Been going to her office for 2 years. Although I usually speak with a nurse, I have always had great services, and they listened and helped me out when I needed some urgent STI testing, including a blood screening.

She’s great at what she does and very intelligent. I’ve been seeing her and her practice since 2017. She’s been quite a blessing in my life.

Do not go here, the staff is incompetent and the office is not pleasant.
